VFS butterfly valve is composed of two semi-valve bodies made by gravity casting. The semi-valve body is made of aluminum alloy material. The rotary valve plate is made of high polymer material and has good sealing performance. The same top and bottom round flanges have a top flange and a hemming member for a flexible sleeve.
It is mainly used to switch bins, hoppers and silos containing powdered or granular materials. It can be applied to all powdered and granular materials. The valve uses the gravity of the material to cut off and pneumatically transport the dry material. It can be installed underneath hoppers, bins, silos, spirals or other types of conveyors, as well as connecting pneumatic conveying pipes. Due to the special structure of this valve and the use of engineering materials, it is always a very economical and extremely efficient choice.

1) The vfs-vfp-type valves made of aluminium alloy arenot designedto bear the weight of equipment in-stalledbelow(e.g. screw feeders, belt conveyors, vibratoryfeeders etc
2)To fix the valve, only use stud bolts that are longenough topass through the upper connecting flange, thevalve itself as well as the lower connecting flange, forming asandwich. Tighten the outer bolts by applying a 30 Nmtorque. The inside nuts have no weight-bearing functionThey only serve to secure the valve when the feederinstalled below is stripped down
3)Apply a thin layer of liquid seal before fitting the valve to theconnecting flange
4) Close the valve only when material is flowing
5)Clean the valve regularly with either air or water. This isparticularly important if the material handled tends to compact orto solidify due to longer shutdown periods
6)Operating temperature for valves having a disc in SINTE
7)Operating temperature for valves having a disc in cast iron or304 stainless steel>100%C
8)The material weight resting on the disc must never be greaterthan its maximum static torque. As it is difficult to calculate thisweight exactly due to varying material properties, as rule of thumbone may consider there are no problems with bulk densities <1.3 tm3 in standard hoppers and silos
9)Refer to assembly instructions on WAMB actuators includedin each package
10)With lumpy, granular or fibrous products it is notrecommend the use of the cast iron or ss 304 disc
11)With raised product columns it is advisable to insert a safetycup in the silo, above the valve
